The McGinty’s Building
In October 1918, the McGinty Bros. purchased the Golden Eagle Building at 101 East Main Street. An early morning blaze on June 15, 1949 brought complete destruction to McGinty’s. By November of that year they were back open for business in this location. It continued as McGinty’s Department store until 2002. The mural on the west side of the building was covered until a remodel in the late 2010’s when it was discovered in good condition.
