129 East Main Street
This two-story brick, two-part commercial building was constructed in 1906. The building has an exterior of glazed white tile. The storefront is chamfered with a gray granite column on a concrete base at the southeast corner of the building. The storefront has been altered with metal and glass display windows and door. The upper façade retains its original detailing and above the storefront is a terra cotta cornice with rectangular panels and egg and dart molding. The upper façade has three window openings. Below the roofline is another terra cotta cornice with dentils and a plain frieze.
This building was constructed to replace a 1902 building that was destroyed in the 1906 fire. The building was a hotel in 1909 and connected to the England Hotel through a tunnel below Washington Street. The building was also occupied by Jones Drug Store.
