West Spring Street Concrete Steps

The concrete stairs adjacent to Big Spring Park, located on West Spring Street, were built in 1923 to connect West Spring Street with High Street. This part of town was originally called “Dart.” The stairs are made of poured concrete with metal handrails. At each sixteenth step is a landing with square concrete newel posts.
