The Neosho Police Department is committed to quality law enforcement protection for everyone living, working, and traveling through our community.

We pride ourselves on being proactive in reducing crime and protecting lives and property. The City of Neosho is a safe town in which to raise a family, have a thriving career, or retire. Friendly, professional service is a priority for all of our officers.

We provide 24-hour protection to all property and persons within the Neosho city limits.

Prescription Drug Drop-Off Box

Thanks to The Alliance of Southwest Missouri, working through the Newton County Community Coalition. The prescription drug drop-off is in the lobby of the Police Department and is accessible from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.


Missouri Blue Shield City

This prestigious honor recognizes Missouri communities that demonstrate a steadfast commitment to enhancing public safety and supporting law enforcement. 

The Missouri Blue Shield Program, created by Governor Kehoe in January 2025 through Executive Order 25-03, recognizes local governments that make significant efforts to reduce crime, foster law enforcement collaboration, and build strong community partnerships for public safety. 

The Neosho Police Department earned a Missouri Blue Shield designation due to its exceptional commitment to public safety. Through specific initiatives from the application, such as officer recruitment efforts, major law enforcement funding, partnerships with community stakeholders, etc, the community has demonstrated a strong and ongoing commitment to protecting its residents.
